09 March 2011,
Andrew Gryf Paterson
Following recent warm-up events, the Pixelversity 2011 programme launches as this year's Festival ends. Pixelversity is the outreach and education programme of Pixelache Helsinki scene, throughout the year. To acknowledge the tradition of education over the years in the festival, and looking forward to future activity and collaborations..
There will be an 'open circle' discussion event to close the Festival. This event will take place on Sunday 13th from 16.00-17.300 at Suomenlinna festival venue MAA. Come to meet other education-minded locals and guests! (and bring some pedagogical questions for consideration)
Also, in collaboration with Research at Department of Media, Aalto University, a guest lecture by art historian Edward Shanken will present his current research on the topic of 'Contemporary Art and New Media: Towards a Hybrid discourse' on Monday 14th from 18.00-19.30. Festival guests still around are welcome to attend (location: 'Arabia' district on mainland)
