In the summer of 2014, Pixelache Helsinki responded to the invitation to make a Case Study interview for the 'Agents of Alternatives: Re-designing our Realities' publication, edited by Alastair Fuad-Luke, Katharina Moebus and Anja-Lisa Hirscher. As an attendee of all Camp Pixelache events since they started in Pixelache Festival 2010 onwards, and facilitator in 2013, Andrew Gryf Paterson reflected upon the beginnings, acting & doing, reflecting & sustaining, outcomes and outputs, and lessons learned in the process of Camp Pixelache experience. Pixelache Helsinki 2014 will be an international 2-day trans-disciplinary event focusing on the theme of “The Commons”, including bio-, urban culture and knowledge commons topics. Adding a new island to its logbook after Suomenlinna (2011) and Naissaar (2013), Camp Pixelache will take up residence on Vartiosaari, a nature island surrounded by eastern suburbs of Helsinki, during 6-8th June 2014.
