“The aim of the workshop is to offer kids the opportunity to explore the possibilities of utilizing old electronic equipment as experimental sound-producing devices. The workshop consists of constructing do-it-yourself musical instruments and collecting the resulting sound recordings, to possibly compile them into a sound piece. The workshop is run by Minna Piirainen and the Association of Experimental Electronics (KOELSE).”
The workshop is for kids aged between 8 and 12, and the maximum number of participants is 20. Visits to the workshop or the possibility to see the work in progress will be arranged for parents. There will be a possibility to the audience to visit the workshop and see its results in the end. The workshop language is Finnish but instruction is also available in English.
The workshop is coordinated by Minna Piirainen and the Association of Experimental Electronics.
